Scouting in General

If you think Scouting’s just about knots, woggles and big shorts, then be prepared to be surprised. It’s how Richard Branson, Barack Obama and David Beckham got their start in life and you can benefit too.

_MG_2837Scouting gives young people an experience of a life time, your young person, no matter how big or small will join in with a wide variety of actives in a balanced weekly program. The activities vary from games in the Scout HQ to testing their limits  in tree top challenges. There are 450,000 young people in Scouting, spread across five sections; Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network. In these sections up to Explorer Scouts, you will get the chance to earn badges which involve you doing different tasks at home, in the community and at your Scout HQ. There are hundreds of different badges from Home Help to Rock Climbing. Once you have earned enough different badges you can earn your Bronze, Silver and Gold Scout award.

Waste paper collections have resumed on the first Saturday of each month.
